2016-2017 Projects
During 2016 we replaced the chain link fence along John Young Parkway from a 6 foot fence to an 8 foot fence to keep traffic from the bus stop on John Young from using the fence to cross through the retention pond.
We removed the 2 alligators from the retention pond
The playground structure was breaking and a safety hazard so we had it removed and replaced it with a toddler play structure. We will be adding another structure in 2018.
We had a meeting with Orange County Engineers and Roads and Drainage in the hope of returning the Retention Pond to the County's responsibility. Unfortunately, the up front expense and the added expense to the homeowners in the form of a MSBU was too excessive. We hired a company to assess how the pond was functioning and what we needed to make it function better. This project started the first week on January and is now complete.
